Pay: (to be increased April)

  • £12.82 per hour
  • Sleep‑ins: approx. 2 or 3 per week (flat rate £70)

Contracts available: 2 positions,

One 25 hours working with two ladies in their own home. Overtime available and approximately two sleeps per week. (female only)

One 30 or 40 hours per week plus 3 or 4 sleeps, with overtime available and expected. Essential driver male or female. Good spoken English required in order to meet the communication needs of the service user.

Job Overview

We are seeking a Supported Living Worker to provide compassionate, person‑centred support to an individual living independently in their own home. This role focuses on promoting daily living skills, independence, emotional well‑being and access to the community.

You will be supporting an adult with learning disabilities who may at times display behaviours that challenge. You will receive full training and ongoing guidance, but confidence and a calm, resilient approach are important.

Hours & Rota

  • 4‑week rolling rota
  • Approx. 2 or 3 sleep‑ins per week
  • Evenings and weekend shifts included (paid at enhanced rate)
  • Contracts available: Two positions, one 25 hours, and one 30 or 40 hours per week plus sleeps, with overtime available and expected

Key Duties

Personalised Support

Provide one‑to‑one assistance tailored to the individual’s needs and goals.

Daily Living Skills & Personal Care

Support with routines such as personal care, dressing, cooking, household tasks and medication administration.

Behaviour Support

Follow positive behaviour support strategies to maintain a calm, safe and consistent environment.

Emotional Well‑being

Build a supportive relationship, offering reassurance, encouragement and meaningful companionship.

Community Access

Support the individual to attend medical and other appointments, activities, and social opportunities.

Keeping People Safe

Ensure the home environment and all activities remain safe, welcoming and well‑organised.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in adult social care is helpful but not essential
  • First Aid knowledge beneficial
  • Understanding behaviour support is useful
  • Transferable skills (cooking, budgeting, gardening, crafts, etc.) welcome
  • Must be compassionate, reliable and person‑centred
  • Full training provided, including the Care Certificate if needed

Requirements
